Philanthropy

Aside from active involvement in various campus/community service events, Kappa Phi Gamma Sorority is dedicated to enlighten and educate the public about its national philanthropy, Cancer Awareness. Every academic year during the month of April, National Cancer Awareness Month, each sorority chapter and colony proudly hosts C.A.R.E. (Cancer Awareness - A Real Effort) Week. C.A.R.E. Week is a truly unique and yet comprehensive initiative and has been recognized as such by the prestigious Asian Cup Award. It is the only one of its kind to dedicate a week of events aimed to increase public awareness about early detection and prevention of cancer by collaborating education with fun-filled, interactive events. Events that other chapters/colonies have been held in the past years include:

Kick-Off Rally

Bone Marrow Drive

Candlelight Vigils

We hope you will join Kappa Phi Gamma Sorority in the fight against cancer. No deed is too big or too small. Whether you can give monetarily or you can lend a helping hand, there is always someone in need. Just this year, Kappa Phi Gamma, here at Mu Chapter, raised $941 for Bite Me Cancer. Kappa Phi Gamma has raised over $64,000 nationwide in support of cancer awareness. If you would like to support us in our cause or are interested in further ways to get involved, please feel free to contact us.
